Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is something I’ve always admired. They were founded in 2000 after bringing together the talents of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Through the years, they have evolved into a worldwide designer brand with retail locations in multiple countries, and it’s one that style enthusiasts really love.
I’ve kept an eye on Golden Goose for some time and I would often browse the selection at FarFetch, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always found them a bit pricey and seemed too close in style to Converse, so they were always saved for later. A couple of years ago, Adam was the one who originally loved the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. Seeing his pair up close and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re crafted by hand in Italy, I was totally into it. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are pre-distressed and made to look used and abused, they are all hand done so each one is different. Some have heavier wear than others, so the variation is wide.
